The Himedia Company has developed novel teaching Kits in the areas of molecular biology, microbiology, protein assay, immunology, biochemistry and chromatography that meet teaching needs at our university among others worldwide. The teaching kits are of high standards equated to those used in research, but come at a very competitive cost. The kits are formulated to meet the experiment needs of student without the wastages experienced with the current protocols, where stand-alone reagents are used. By using the teaching kits, students have an opportunity to carry out practical experiments in their areas of training while, using the current ‘state of art’ technology. The kits are designed in a way that the users find it easy to connect with the industry during their work and/or research.

The College of Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences, has teaching programs at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels that fits well with the Himedia teaching kits. Trainers from Himedia Company will, during the two days’ workshop, expose our Lecturers, Technologists and Postgraduate students to various molecular biology teaching kits that are in line with existing undergraduate and postgraduate practicals. This aspect of practical training will expose our student and researchers to innovative skills that will in the long run, address our current scientific problems.

Chemoquip Ltd is a Kenyan Company and a partner with Himedia. The Company has been one of the University trusted suppliers in Laboratory reagents and chemicals; we look forward in furthering our collaboration as we continue to improve the quality of University training. It is our hope that the kits will be made available for training our student at affordable costs and similar workshops are welcome in the University as they are a benefit to our students and staff.
