UoN partners with FAO to train meat inspectors in Somaliland and Puntland

FAO has partnered with the University of Nairobi, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine to train meat inspectors in Somaliland and Puntland. The training which started on November 3, 2012 is being implemented by the Department of Public Health, Pharmacology and Toxicology and is undertaken by lecturers drawn from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. Twenty four participants are attending the training at IGAD Sheikh Technical Veterinary School in Somaliland, while  20 participants are attending training in Garowe, Puntland. The training is expected to end on 28th February 2013 and upon successful completion of  the the course, participants will be awarded a

Applications are invited from qualified candidates to pursue a 2 year Masters training in any of the following programs offered in the Department of Public Health, Pharmacology & Toxicology in the academic year 2012/2013 beginning October, 2012. The programs are offered on a full time basis.
