Training on King Fisher RNA Extraction & Purification Machine

Recently the Department of Public Health, Pharmacology & Toxicology acquired KingFisher Purification System for DNA/RNA Extraction through Novel approaches to identify optimal antiviral probiotics for swine industry in low-income countries" project. The project is a collaboration between the department of Public Health, Pharmacology & Toxicology at The  University of Nairobi and the department of Food Animal Research Program at The Ohio State University funded by International Development and Research Centre (IDRC, Canada). 

Selected Staff members from the Department of Animal Production and Public Health, Pharmacology & Toxicology were trained on KingFisher Purification System, Instrument operation best practice, Maintenance, MagMaX-96 Total RNA Isolation kit and RNA Extraction for downstream applications.
